Southwest planes are a a pleasure to shoot. The airline has so many liveries and special nose art aircraft. It’s like collecting baseball cards. The level of detail is just astonishing.

This was a difficult shot to get with the slow shutter speed. I got lucky and tracked the plane fine. I’m very happy with how it turned out.

UPS 757 with Mt Hamilton.
For my opening post I’d like to present one of my favorite photos to date. Just like in Real Estate, photography can be about location, location, location. I happened to be standing in the right spot to catch this UPS 757 climbing out with the Lick Observatory on Mt. Hamilton in the background. It was also shot in the evening with the sun low in the sky making for almost ideal lighting conditions.
