About

Chris Vervais Thank you for visiting my site, I hope you find it enjoyable. I consider myself an amateur photographer who is constantly learning and applying those lessons to my photography. I am fortunate to be able to combine my two passions into one satisfying hobby.

Ask anyone who knows me, and they will tell you I am passionate about aircraft and photography. My family will recount that when I was little I was always looking up, even when I shouldn’t have been. As a kid playing tee-ball, I would be in the outfield looking at the planes going by and not watching the ball. Fortunately, I never got hit by a ball.

I have been fortunate to have spent a lot of time on aircraft. I have been to many parts of the world including Europe, Asia, and Australia. For me, getting there was literally half the fun. Single aisle, wide body, or commuter, it didn’t make a difference, I was happy to be aboard.

I have been interested in photography nearly as long as I have been interested in aircraft. I can remember my parents letting me use their old 110 camera with the “magic cube” flash. I would take pictures of anything, and everything, burning through the film and flash like they grew from the ground. Once I was older, my parents got me a Kodak ‘Disc’ camera and I brought it with me everywhere.

It served it’s purpose well until high school when I got a “proper” 35mm Minolta SLR, and a variety of lenses. This camera went around the world with me more than a few times. Eventually, I made my way to the digital format like so many others, and invested in the equipment I would need to specialize in aviation photography. I plan on branching out, but my passion will always be aviation photography.
